MSTower has special features for the design and checking of Telecom towers and other tower types to the leading codes.
British, American, Indian, Australian, Bangladesh and Malaysian codes are supported
The wind forces on the tower are calculated making the correct allowance for solidity, orientation of members and the incidence of aerials and feeders to the wind.
Primary and Combination load cases are generated if requested, this is especially useful for TIA/EIA-222-G and eiffelised towers
Libraries contain the necessary data for members, aerials and feeders.
Ice loading with varying densities with and without wind is calculated.
The rotations of the aerials are reported relative to their local axis for off station limits checking for various periods of probability.
Secondary members (redundant) are checked automatically as part of a sub-frame bracing the main member as required by BS8100, clause 5.4.b and other codes.
Leg and bracing members made of angles, tubes, rods, compound sections, schifflerized angles, cold formed 60 deg' angles and VU sections are supported.
Bolted Tension connections for Rods and CHS are supported.
Bolted connections for towers made of angle sections are checked and for other types of members they can be checked against capacity limits.
THE PROGRAM CHECKS A TOWERS GEOMETRY AND CONNECTIVITY AND WARNS, WHERE POSSIBLE, OF UNRESTRAINED CONNECTIONS AND POSSIBLE MECHANISMS.
Foundation loads are calculated for ultimate and service conditions.
The Aerials and Feeders are shown graphically and can be queried on screen.
Structures can be built, loaded, analysed and checked automatically using Quick Loader.
All structures can be sent to the Web based Tower Manager
